A special weather statement has been issued for Oxford County as we will see the warm weather continue throughout the weekend. The first taste of very warm and almost sultry mid summer weather is expected to hit the region on Friday. Temperatures have been hovering around 30's on Thursday and it is expected to be even hotter on Friday. Humidex values will reach the low to mid thirties Friday afternoon. This is just a few degrees below the threshold required for a heat warning. Latest conditions are now suggesting temperatures will remain considerably higher than average on Sunday, or mother's day, then into early next week, before considerably cooler air arrives by the middle of the week.
