The Milton bats won the Tier One championship on Sunday with Milverton taking home the Tier Two prize.
INNERKIP - A little bit of rain didn't damper the spirits at the 14th annual Gord Marshall Tournament.
The Milton Bats won the Tier One Championship with a 6-3 over the Byron Springfield Stangs on Sunday afternoon. Milverton took home the Tier Two Championship an 8-5 win over Bramlea.
Tournament Chairmen Brad Hallock tells Heart FM they had to play a little bit of catchup on Saturday after they got hit with some rain on Friday night.
"We started the day off behind schedule because of the rain on Friday but Saturday night, by playoff time we were fine and back on schedule. Sunday started right on time and we kept on time throughout the whole day and the teams really enjoyed that."
Hallock says they are still counting all of the money they made over the weekend and it is looking like they will reach their $5,000 fundraising goal.
This year the funds will be going to Parkinson Society of Southwestern Ontario in support of one of the Innerkip Umpires Association's members.
