Perth OPP are investigating not one, but two acts of mischief at the St Mary's Cement Plant.
ST MARYS - Perth OPP are investigating two acts of mischief at the St Marys Cement Plant.
They say suspects entered the plant and damaged equipment on Sunday. They also broke into another structure on the property to bring the damage estimate to $75,000.
The second incident place took place early this morning, when someone set the brush area of the property on fire.
Staff Sergeant Steph Pilon says this is unacceptable.
"These were senseless acts of vandalism. In addition to the loss of property and impact on the business, of greatest concern, is the fact that these suspects were operating equipment they may have been completely unfamiliar with. This incident could have resulted in a fatality. This matter will be investigated fully, and the Perth County OPP requests the invaluable assistance of the public to identify those responsible."
Anyone with information should contact Perth OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
