Oxford County has a $25,000 budget to install new Share the Road signs.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford County will be putting up a number of Share the Road signs as more and more people hit the road on their bikes.
Supervisor of Engineering Services with Public Works Frank Gross says the new signs will cover a large swath of county roads.
"Well we're planning on signing approximately 170 kilometres of county road with Share the Road signs and the purpose of share the Road signs are to advise motorists and cyclists to share the road and operate safely."
The hope is that as the roads become safer, more people will be encouraged to get on their bikes and spent some time outdoors exploring active transportation.
Gross tells Heart FM the budget for this project is $25,000.
