Woodstock Police have already responded to 243 motor vehicle collisions in the Friendly City this year.
WOODSTOCK - Motor vehicle collisions in Woodstock are up 5% so far this year.
Police have already investigated 243 MVC in 2019. Deputy Chief Darren Sweazy says of those reported collisions 23 resulted in an injury with alcohol a factor in 2.
“The Woodstock Police Service strongly believes that through continued education and enforcement practices the number of motor vehicle collisions can be reduced especially where alcohol is involved. The public has an obligation to its community that alcohol has no place in the operation of a motor vehicle, two collisions is too many.”
Woodstock Police would like to encourage anyone having information about distracted drivers, aggressive drivers or impaired drivers to contact WOODSTOCK POLICE SERVICE at 519-537-2323 or Crime Stoppers 421-TIPS (8477) or toll free at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
