OPP and Fire Crews have responded to several collisions in Oxford County this morning and are reminding everyone to slow down and move over for emergency vehicles.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford OPP have responded to a number of collisions in the area today.
Police and Fire were on the scene of a crash on the 401 W/B this morning at KM 49 that had one vehicle against the wall. Another crash this morning happened on the 401 West Bound near Toyota. The Drumbo Fire Rescue commented on our Facebook page asking people to slow down and move over for all emergency responders. Apparently they dealt with a few vehicles today who do not move over or slow down while they trying to clean up an collision.
The freezing rain may have stopped and the main roads are in decent condition, however the shoulders and ditches are still very slippery and so are the on and off ramps. Make sure to slow down and drive to the conditions.
Most of the collisions over the past 30 hours have been caused by people driving to fast for the road conditions.
