Jake Muzzin is now a Pro Scout for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
TORONTO - Woodstock's very own Jake Muzzin has taken on a new role with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
General Manager Brad Treliving announced yesterday that Muzzin is now a Pro Scout for the NHL team.
The Leafs acquired Muzzin from a trade with the Los Angeles Kings in 2019. During his time with both NHL teams, the defenceman played 683 regular season games where he recorded 294 points. This works out to 69 goals and 225 assists.
Muzzin participated in career 72 playoff games, where he recorded 11 goals and 17 assists. He was also with the LA Kings when they won the Stanley Cup in 2014.
He has been off the ice for almost a year now, after he suffered a cervical spine injury during a game against the Arizona Coyotes on October 17th, 2022. Coyotes forward Clayton Keller had to leave the game in the second period.
