Police say the substance that was found on homes, vehicles and properties in Ayr has been identified as bird feces.
AYR - It's an interesting conclusion to a harassment and mischief investigation in Ayr.
Back in late August, the Waterloo Regional Police Service received reports of a drone in the area of Stanley Street and Main Street in Ayr, that was engaging in "harassing behaviour" and causing property damage. It was said that someone was using a drone to drop an unknown substance into houses, vehicles and properties between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
Police reached out to the University of Guelph to help identify the substance, which has since been determined as bird feces, specifically from a heron.
With that being said, no charges will be laid because no criminal activity occurred.
