Navy Vets Change Coaching Staff

The Woodstock Navy Vets have made changes to their bench staff, bringing in new coaches.

WOODSTOCK - An overhaul has come to the Woodstock Navy Vets bench.

The organization has released Justin Elms, Chris Thompson, Chris Nauts, and Chris Jensen from their coaching duties. Adam Wallace has been named the new head coach and will be joined by assistant coaches Jeff Reid and Brent Wallace.

Adam Wallace will be bringing tons of experience, as he has won two Memorial Cups with the Windsor Spitfires of the Ontario Hockey League, and then began his coaching career with the Spitfires. He then continued coaching as the head coach in the Guelph Hurricanes/Cambridge Redhawks organization for 7 years, and won a Cherrey Cup in 2022.

Jeff Reid is also a very experienced hockey man, playing multiple seasons in the OHL, IHL and ECHL. He also brings 30-plus years of coaching experience to the club, which includes 9 seasons with the University of Guelph, multiple seasons with the Owen Sound Attack and Kingston Frontenacs of the OHL, two years with the Ontario U17 program, and 7 years with the Guelph/Cambridge organization in the GOJHL.

Lastly, Brent Wallace comes in as a Vets alumni and was a part of the Cherrey Cup-winning Redhawks staff. The only remaining staff member from the beginning of the season will be goalie coach Keaghan Brett.

The Navy Vets said in their post that they would like to thank Justin Elms, Chris Thompson, Chris Nauts, and Chris Jensen for their time and contributions to the organization.
