WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Navy Vets are hoping for a packed house on Friday night as they try to stay alive in their first round playoff match up with New Hamburg.
The Firebirds won a close one on Monday night, edging out the Vets 3-2. They currently enjoy a 3 games to 2 series lead. The home team has won every game so far in this series.
Kyle Walker had a good night for the Vets scoring twice in the first period. New Hamburg scored twice in the 3rd period to steal the game from the Navy Vets.
Keaghan Brett continued his strong playoffs for the Navy Vets making 28 saves in the loss.
Woodstock will try to stave off elimination and force Game #7 when they host the Firebirds for Game #6 on Friday night at Southwood Arena.
