There is a $50.00 charge/tonne to use the waste collection program, but farmers can get free collection bags from the Waste Management Facility.
OXFORD COUNTY - A landfill pilot program coming to Oxford will give farmers a new way to dispose of agricultural waste.
Farmers who choose to use the service must ensure all materials are reasonably clean and free of contamination and can include items such as bunker covers, bale wraps, fertilizer bags, and salt bags. They will not be accepting net wrap or twine mesh as part of the service.
There is a $50.00 charge/tonne to use the waste collection program, but farmers can get free collection bags from the Waste Management Facility.
To learn more about the program, visit the Wasteline website, or download the app on your smartphone.
