OTTAWA - Canada's 45th general election campaign is officially underway.
Liberal Leader Mark Carney will be in the Halifax area today while Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre campaigns in Vaughn, and NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh visits Toronto and Hamilton.
Heart FM is currently aware of four candidates running in Oxford County. Arpan Khanna is running for re-election as our Conservative MP and he's running against David Hilderley and the Liberals, Matthew Chambers and the NDP, and the Christian Heritage Party's Jacob Watson.
The federal election is scheduled for Monday April 28th. The advanced polls will be open from Friday April 18th to Monday April 21st, which also happens to be the Easter long weekend.
