Did you watch the Canada Day fireworks in Southside Park?
WOODSTOCK - Lots of people celebrated Canada Day in Woodstock this year.
A special fireworks display ended the festivities in Southside Park with help from members of the Woodstock Fire Department.
It was the only way people in Woodstock could legally enjoy fireworks this year. A new bylaw took effect on January 1st, banning the sale and discharge of consumer fireworks. Groups are still able to host public fireworks displays if they meet the necessary requirements.
