The latest Heart FM News Poll asks, were you affected by the recent Meta outage?
CALIFORNIA - Hundreds of thousands of people were kicked off Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Threads.
Meta experienced a service outage at around 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday March 5th, affecting users across the globe.
According to DownDetector, over 300,000 outages were reported for Facebook and 40,000 outages were reported for Instagram. Those numbers decreased significantly by 12:00 p.m. with less than 5,000 reported Facebook outages and just over 1,000 reported outages for Instagram.
WhatsApp and Threads both had less than 200 incident reports.
Meta posted the following message on Facebook at 1:22 p.m. yesterday:
