An NHL linesman from Woodstock had a rough night during Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals between the New York Rangers and Tampa Bay Lightning
WOODSTOCK - An NHL linesman from Woodstock had a rough night during Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals between the New York Rangers and Tampa Bay Lightning. Brad Kovachik had to leave the game after injuring his leg in the second period. He was standing on the side boards when lightning sniper Steven Stamkos body checked Kevin Klein of the Rangers right into Kovachik. Officials had to stop the game when they noticed he was still on the ice unable to stand. Kovachik was helped off the ice and was replaced by Greg Devorski who was on standby. Kovachik has been diagnosed with a sprained knee and could miss the rest of the playoffs. He is out indefinitely.
