Canada has seen a rise in measles cases lately, but no cases have been reported in the SWPH region.
SWPH - A rise in measles cases nationwide has Southwestern Public Health on alert.
Residents are being reminded to take precautions to help stop the spread of this highly infectious viral infection. This includes staying up to date on routine vaccinations and staying home if you are not feeling well.
Currently, there have not been any reported cases to SWPH, which provides them with the opportunity to act preventively.
Early stages of measles can feel like a common cold, and if you think you have measles contact your health provider.
