Woodstock Sears store looking to get rid of unwanted donation bin on their property.

***UPDATE - Aikman says the bin has been removed from the site****

WOODSTOCK - Unwanted donation bins are showing up in the Friendly City.

A green, Canadian Community Support Foundation bin showed up early Monday morning in the Woodstock Sears parking lot and employees say permission was never granted for the bin.

Woodstock Sears Employee Sheila Aikman says store owners are worried about liability as well as junk gathering in their parking lot.

"Children can get hurt on it. I know other businesses in town have had creatures coming out of the bags that come out of there. We would rather customers donate to legitimate places like Salvation Army, the Bibles for Mission, the Goodwill in town that actually use it for local non-profit, help out the community."

"What I have on my box right now is a sign blocking off the hole as well as the door saying 'this is unauthorized' and donate to a local charity."

"We've left various messages with various different phone numbers to return calls back and no body has ever returned our call. A friend of mine owns a couple of businesses in the Kitchener/Waterloo area. Same donation box showed up there. She did numerous phone calls and they ended up putting it in their dumpster."

Aikman says police have instructed Canadian Community Support Foundation they have 24 hours to remove the bin.

Calls by Heart FM to the charity were not returned Wednesday.
