A non-taxable item drive is happening at the Woodstock Food Basics today and all the proceeds will be going to Operation Sharing programs.
WOODSTOCK - A non taxable item drive is happening today for Operation Sharing programs The Inn and Food for Friends at Food Basics in Woodstock.
Non taxable items include things like toilet paper, cleaning products, hygiene products, snack food and other household essential items.
Chris Eby will collecting the items from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. all day today. With so many people not working or working reduced hours with the pandemic, more and more people are relying on the services of Operation Sharing.
Right now their cupboards are bare, as they always like to hand out some of the non taxable items to people when they come by to collect the Food Friends cards. More people are relying on this service than ever before.
Also the Inn, Oxford's only homeless shelter is running at capacity every night and they need some of these items too to keep running.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated today.
