A Norfolk County man is facing a charge following a hit and run in Tillsonburg Wednesday night. Police say two female pedestrians were crossing Washington Grand Ave and Broadway Street around 8:15 pm when they spotted a vehicle coming towards them at a high rate of speed. The driver slammed on their brakes but could not stop in time, hitting the women and knocking them to the ground. The suspect vehicle then fled from the scene heading northbound on Broadway Street. Charged with Failing to Remain at Scene of Accident is 28 year old Kevin Ayres of Norfolk.
