Oxford OPP assisted with search warrant at a Norwich Township home, leading to several drug-related charges.
NORWICH TOWNSHIP -- Two Norwich Township men are facing a long list of drug-related charges following a search warrant at a Cedar Line residence.
On May 31st, Oxford OPP assisted the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement West Unit and Community Drug Action Team (CDAT) and Tactics & Rescue Unit (TRU) members with the search of the home which lead to the seizure of 87.3 grams of Methylenedioxypyrovalerone (MDVP– commonly referred to as “Bath Salts”), 37 grams of Cannabis Marijuana Bud, 21 Cannabis Marijuana Plants and approximately $2,500 in cash. Also seized were three firearms, ammunition and one vehicle.
33 year-old Justin Elsbrie and 27 year-old Nathan Taylor are now facing charges:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Other Drug (MDPV)
- Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cannabis Marijuana
- Produce a Schedule II substance – Cannabis Marijuana
- Import a Schedule I substance – Other Drug (MDPV)
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
The two were arrested and held for bail hearings in Woodstock Court on Monday, June 2nd.
