An organizing committee has been planning 150th Canada Day celebrations in Otterville for over a year now.
OTTERVILLE - Norwich Township is already gearing up for Canada Day next year.
This is a centennial year as we celebrate 150 years as a nation. The big event in Norwich Township will take place in Otterville and a committee has been working on the celebrations for over a year already. Mayor Larry Martin says this is going to be a huge celebration.
"They have got quite a bit planned and they have been working on this since last Canada Day to bring this to fruition and make this something special. With it being the anniversary and the 150th birthday, it is going to be up and over everything we have ever done in the past."
Some of the ideas kicking around now is a parade, street hockey tournament, bike parade and a teen dance just to name a few.
