The job posting for Oxford's next Chief Administrative Officer is up on the County's website and all applications have to be submitted by January 31st.
OXFORD - Oxford is still looking to permanently fill one of the most important roles on its staff.
The County listed the job posting for Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) on January 3rd. Ben Addley, Oxford's Chief/Director of Paramedic Services, has been filling in as the Interim CAO ever since Michael Duben resigned on September 6th, 2022.
Warden Marcus Ryan shared the job posting on his Facebook page, and gave insight into what the County is looking for.
"What we're looking for is somebody who is going to help this Council, who as I said I think is going to be pretty progressive in trying to figure out the changes and services the Oxford County residents want. We need a CAO who is going to help us do that, who's going to help us implement Council's decisions and advise Council on how to best make those decisions."
Warden Ryan also said that the posting will be there until the end of the month, followed by a shortlisting of the candidates before they start the interviewing process. He adds the County is using a recruitment firm to headhunt the best possible candidate and connect the County to people they may have never came across.
