Oxford County municipalities will receive a financial boost from the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford County will be seeing funding next year through the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund.
The province will be giving a total of $400 million to help 425 small, rural, and northern communities pay for infrastructure projects.
Below is the list of places within the County that will be getting money:
Oxford County - $5,011,153
Woodstock - $896,887
Ingersoll - $453,522
Blandford-Blenheim - $418,811
Norwich - $395,860
Tillsonburg - $385,179
South-West Oxford - $247,052
Zorra - $166,093
East Zorra-Tavistock - $154,213
Oxford MPP Ernie Hardeman says this funding is great news for our community.
"This funding allows our municipal partners to address critical infrastructure needs, including road, bridge, water and wastewater projects."
OCIF provides funding for local infrastructure projects in communities with populations under 100,000, as well as all rural and northern communities. Funding allocations are based on a formula that takes into account the different needs and economic conditions of each community.
