OPP cruiser hits the ditch after avoiding a collision with car
An Oxford OPP officer was hurt in an incident on a 401 off ramp in Ingersoll today.
The officer was driving on the westbound off ramp at Plank Line, at 1:55 this afternoon, and approached a white Ford Fusion that was parked on the shoulder of the off ramp.
The Fusion suddenly pulled off the shoulder onto the roadway directly in the path of the OPP cruiser. The officer made an evasive action, and ended up in the north ditch, striking a tree.
The officer suffered minor injuries, while the Ford Fusion left the scene.
