The Oxford County Archives has launched an online exhibit in honour of Tillsonburg's 150th anniversary.
TILLSONBURG - The Town of Tillsonburg is celebrating it's 150th anniversary this year.
Oxford County Archives is getting in on the fun with by travelling back in time to visit some of the original businesses in the Town. County Archivist Liz Dommasch says the online exhibit includes a lot of different businesses.
"So everything from barbershops, grocery shops, druggists, boundaries, photographers, newspapers and it also gets into the number of businesses that E.D Tillson was involved with."
The exhibit also includes a unique feature on the Tillson family, some of the town’s most influential residents. They lived in what is now known as the Annandale National Historic Site and Museum. Dommasch says the Museum played a big role in helping to create this exhibit.
"They assisted us with providing imaging and verifying the history that we put together, they have been great, in turn, we helped them with their exhibit that they are planning. It has been a great partnership."
You can tour the exhibit online here.
