Ontario is providing up to 60 per cent funding, to a maximum of $750,000 to larger scale partnerships working on ground breaking projects in the agri-food sector.
Food producers looking to tap into new provincial money will have to hurry.
New funding is available for agri-food innovation, including pilot projects involving robotics and artificial intelligence.
The Ontario government says the money is to address pandemic related challenges, ongoing labour shortages, and to promote commercial growth. The Agri-tech Innovation Program provides up to 60 per cent funding to a maximum of $750,000 to larger-scale partnerships designed to enhance the health and safety of workers, while increasing productivity.
Producers have till September 27th to apply.
