The Thanksgiving Weekend featured Operation Impact, and Oxford OPP laid charges in the big four categories.
OXFORD COUNTY - Operation Impact's results have been released.
Over the Thanksgiving Weekend OPP officers were patrolling the streets to make sure motorists were following the rules. In Oxford County, speeding charges were the highest at 36, while distracted driving followed with 10, impaired driving was third at 4, and seatbelt charges finished the list with 3.
This year Oxford OPP handed out 6 more speeding charges than in 2024, while the 10 distracted driving and 3 seatbelt charges were up from 0, and the 4 impaired driving charges were down from the 8 handed out.
