Executive Director Tim Dukes would like to expand The Sharing Table program in the New Year.
WOODSTOCK - The Executive Director of Operation Sharing has big plans heading into 2025.
Tim Dukes says they're hoping to expand the Sharing Table program next year. It's a meal program that currently offers lunch on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at College Ave Church in Woodstock.
"We're looking to expand that to Monday to Friday. We're also looking at putting in a dinner program at the same location from Monday to Friday. I also want to remind the community that our lunches and if we do move into a dinner, follow the Sharing Table on Facebook and it's open for anybody who needs a meal."
With that being said, Operation Sharing relies on donations from the public.
Dukes is offering some piece of mind to those who have or would like to mail a cheque to the charity organization this holiday season.
"Cheques that are in the mail or cheques that you want to put in the mail this week, any cheques that we receive within the first two weeks of January will be honoured for a December 2024 tax receipt."
The recent Canada Post strike caused quite a backlog for mail and parcel delivery. Service resumed yesterday, but delays are expected into the New Year.
