OPP briefs include an impaired driver in Ingersoll, a speeder on the 403 and a total of 65 Highway Traffic Act charges laid in Brant County over the weekend.
INGERSOLL - A 20-year-old from Ingersoll is facing an impaired driving charge.
They were arrested on Bell Street on Saturday, after Oxford OPP officers came across a parked vehicle on Bell Street. The driver was the only occupant in the vehicle at the time.
The 20-year-old was arrested and taken to the OPP detachment for testing. They have since been charged with operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration 80 plus.

BRANT COUNTY - It was a busy weekend for the Brant County OPP.
A total of 65 Highway Traffic Act charges were laid between Friday October 22nd and Sunday October 24th. The charges include the following:
- Stunt drive - Excessive speed,
- Speeding,
- Drive - hand-held communication device,
- Drive - hand-held entertainment device,
- Novice driver - Blood Alcohol - Concentration above zero,
- Driving while under suspension,
- Careless Driving and
- Disobey stop sign - fail to stop.

BRANT COUNTY - Charges have been laid after Brant OPP officers caught a vehicle going 150 kilometres per hour on the 403.
They spotted it at around 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning, while they were conducting speed enforcement on the highway.
A 23-year-old from Grimsby has been charged with racing a motor vehicle and speeding over 50 kilometres per hour over the speed limit. Their license has been suspended for 30 days and their vehicle has been impounded for two weeks.

ST. GEORGE - The Brant County OPP is investigating several thefts from commercial properties in the St. George area.
Police say someone broke into several vehicles and trailers on Industrial Boulevard, Black Walnut Drive and Highway 5 sometime overnight on Thursday or early Friday morning.
They got away with some painting equipment and a 2007 Ford 250 pickup truck. Police say the culprits also tried to steal a generator, but they were unsuccessful.

BRANT COUNTY - Three people had to be taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries following a two vehicle crash in Brant County.
It happened at the Ayr Road and Drumbo Road intersection on Sunday October 17th. The Brant County OPP got the call at around 8:30 p.m.
A 29-year-old from Cambridge has been charged with careless driving and failing to stop at a stop sign.

BRANT COUNTY - No one was hurt after a vehicle came close to hitting two people in Brant County.
The officer was stationed at a road closure on Highway 24, close to McLean School Road on Saturday October 16th.
Someone called the OPP about a traffic complaint in the same area, and the vehicle was later spotted nearly hitting an officer and a road crew worker.
A 32-year-old from Brantford has been charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs and operation while impaired with blood alcohol concentration 80 plus.

PARIS - A 21-year-old is facing charges after driving a noisy vehicle through downtown Paris.
The Brant OPP pulled them over earlier this month after their vehicle was making a lot noise on Grand River Street.
They have been charged driving without a muffler and operating a motor vehicle with no insurance.
