Briefs include a 26 year old woman from Blandford Blenheim who was charged with impaired driving after nearly causing a head on collision, a utility trailer stolen in West Pert and a man charged with impaired driving after crashing into the ditch.
BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM - A 26 year old woman from Blandford Blenheim is facing several charges after almost hitting a car in Shakespeare.
Police say the woman was swerving in its lane, when it almost hit a car, traveling in the opposite direction of Perth Road 107 in the Township of Perth East. The driver of the other vehicle called police and officers were able to track down the woman and take her to the Sebringville OPP detachment for further testing.
The woman was charged with impaired driver over 80, driving without insurance and not having a valid permit.
The dangers of driving while impaired are well known and pose a significant risk to public safety. The Perth County OPP is urging everyone to plan ahead and arrange for a designated driver or overnight accommodations to avoid a tragedy.

WEST PERTH - Police are investigating after a utility trailer was stolen from a rural home on Line 16 in the Township of West Perth.
The trailer is a 2 axle type with a 50 foot wooden bed and is black in colour. The licence plate attached to the trailer is F2239M. It was taken sometime over the Easter Long weekend.
Perth County OPP continue to investigate this incident, and ask that anyone with information contact police at 1-888-310-1122. PERTH COUNTY - Perth County OPP say a 56 year old man was impaired when his car rolled into the ditch just east of Elginfield Road.
The crash happened near St. Marys on Sunday evening. OPP officers responded to the crash and charged the driver with impaired driving.
