OPP would like to thank the community for reporting impaired driving and keeping the roads safe.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford OPP have made charges in two separate impaired driving incidents in the County.
The first incident was yesterday around 7:00 p.m. Police responded to multiple traffic complaints about the same vehicle traveling on Highway 59 in Norwich Township.
Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop, where it was determined the driver was under the influence.
He was detained and brought the Oxford OPP detachment for testing. During this time, they discovered the vehicle he was driving had been reported stolen.
45-year-old Stephen Miller of Woodstock was charged with impaired driving, dangerous operation of an automobile and theft under $5,000.
The second incident occurred around 3:00 a.m. today. Police were alerted to Beachville Road in South-West Oxford Township after reports of a driver appearing to be under the influence.
As a result of a traffic stop conducted by OPP, 31-year-old Virginia Baxter from Woodstock was charged with the following offences driving well impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80.
