OPP responded to 186 collisions during the storm on Saturday and charged one man with speeding twice in the span of 20 minutes in the height of the storm.
OXFORD COUNTY - West Region OPP, which includes Oxford County responded to 186 collisions over 24 hours starting on Saturday morning.
Police are once again reminding everyone to slow down and drive to the conditions. One driver was actually pulled over twice in the span of 20 minutes for speeding on Saturday night in the height of the storm.
Constable Ed Sanchuk says all of those collisions could of been avoided if the drivers took the right precautions.
"We are just asking everybody to just please slow down, drive to the conditions and be patient because you are eventually going to arrive at your destination."
Sanchuk also says to bundle up if you do have to head out today.
"We are just asking people today, if you are out and about, it is freezing outside, make sure you are prepared for the weather, make sure you have hats, mitts, toques and a blanket in the car with a fully charged cell phone in case you get stranded or break down."
