Just pour your unwanted fats, oils, and grease into a FOG cup and throw it in the garbage once it hardens.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford County wants to make sure residents know what to do with fats, oil, and grease (FOG).
Each one has the opportunity to cause extensive work to be done to plumbing if poured down the drain. The cost of repairs could come at the expense of the home or business owner or the County. The County offers FOG cups, which are degradable and once the fats, oils or grease is cool, you can pour them into the cup.
The locations of the FOG Cups are; the Oxford County Administration Building located at 21 Reeve Street, Woodstock, the Oxford County Library branches (all 14 branches), the Oxford County Waste Management Facility located on 384060 Salford Rd., Salford, the Township of South-West Oxford office at 312985 Dereham Line, Mt. Elgin, and the Town of Tillsonburg office located at 10 Lisgar Ave., Tillsonburg.
Once the cup is full you store it in the fridge or freezer until the liquids harden, then you throw the cup in the garbage. If you need to dispose of old motor oil, you can do so for free at the Oxford County Waste Management Facility, or Woodstock EnviroDepot. Used motor oil can also be taken to your local vehicle repair shop to be disposed of.
