Oxford OPP officers have been busy in Tillsonburg lately with Festive RIDE programs, a purse theft, and a suspicious person report on Broadway.
TILLSONBURG - Oxford County OPP made a pair of arrests in Tillsonburg.
Last Thursday, reports of suspicious activity were called in at a business on Broadway in Tillsonburg.
Two people left the area before police showed up, but they were found a short distance away and arrested. One was released without conditions, while the other, a 19-year-old man from Tillsonburg was charged with possession of methamphetamine, and failure to comply with a probation order.
He will be in Woodstock Court January 23rd.

TILLSONBURG - A Tillsonburg resident is facing multiple charges in their hometown.
At around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, a RIDE program was set up on Lisgar Ave in Tillsonburg, when a 32-year-old man went through. He showed signs that he had been drinking, so he was arrested and taken to the detachment for testing.
As a result, he is charged with operation while impaired, operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80, failing to properly wear a seatbelt, possessing more than one licence, and being a novice driver with a blood alcohol level over zero.

TILLSONBURG - A theft in Tillsonburg has Oxford OPP investigating.
Police are searching for a man who is believed to have stolen a woman's purse while she was shopping at a business on Broadway. Pictures of the suspect are on the OPP West Region social media pages.
