The Lydia Leigh Project was the judges pick for this years Oxford's Got Talent. The People's Choice though was Rob Cromwell.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford's Got Talent, the Big Night In! was another smashing success for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County.
The event raised over $75,000 this year, with money still trickling in. Right now they are short of their $80,000 fundraising goal and you can still donate online here.
The big winner on the night was The Lydia Leigh Project. Resource Development Coordinator for United Way Oxford and one of the judges on the evening Mike Crabbe explains what separated them from the pack.
"We were thrilled to be able to award first place to The Lydia Leigh Project, who was a father/daughter duo, who wrote an original song. It was beautifully performed and had a lot of heart in it. We thought it was a really great example of what our local talent has to offer."
The event was hosted by Woodstock's own Greg Morton. The other judges included Laurie Schultz and Heart FM's Dan Henry.
Crabbe says they had a blast.
"Last year because of COVID, we had to record at separate times, so we never got to meet Greg face to face, so to be in the studio with him and to share his energy and what he was providing to the show, was a real treat to be a part of."
