The 4-H club will be serving pancakes at Jakeman’s Maple Farm every weekend this month in order to raise money for their programs and projects.
BEACHVILLE - Delicious, locally sourced maple syrup and warm, fluffy pancakes will be served up to support 4-H.
The fundraiser is returning to Jakeman's Maple Farm to help support the club's programs.
President of Jakeman's and Fourth generation Maple Syrup farmer Bob Jakeman says he's happy to be able to support the cause.
"We actually just turn over our facility to the 4-H-ers. They collect all the benefits from serving the pancakes and maple syrup and so on."
Jakeman says they see a lot of people come out to enjoy the breakfast.
"Last year they made about $8,600 for their organizations throughout the county. It's gone a long way to fund their projects and their exchanges and so on."
It's happening every weekend in March and the first weekend in April from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. There is also a special breakfast planned for March 15th.
