Perth County OPP had a busy long weekend.
They were keeping a close eye on the roads handing out 79 tickets during the 3 days. Most of the tickets were for speeding and they did hand out 1 charge for distracted driving. Officers also handed out 4 charges under the Liquor Licence Act. Luckily nobody had to be charged for impaired driving.
Here is the breakdown of the 79 tickets.
- 66 for speeding
- 1 Distracted Driving
- 3 Hazardous Moving violations
- 7 other Highway Traffic Act offences
- 1 Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act
- 1 Off-Road Vehicle Act
The Perth County OPP will continue to conduct traffic enforcement on our local highways and roadways to ensure the safety of all citizens.
