The Woodstock Navy Vets and the Thamesford Trojans sit on top of their division standings.
PJHL - It was a great weekend for the Woodstock Navy Vets!
They beat the New Hamburg Firebirds 2-1 on Friday, with Charley Barnes scoring both of the goals for Woodstock. The Navy Vets also doubled the Paris Titans 6-3 on Saturday, with Tyler Bouck making 41 saves in the net.
It was also a great weekend for the Tavistock Braves. They beat the Dorchester Dolphins 9-2 on Friday and 6-4 on Saturday
The Norwich Merchants celebrated a 3-1 victory over the Wellesley Applejacks on Friday, but they did suffer a 5-4 loss to the Hespeler Shamrocks yesterday.
The Navy Vets sit in first place in the Doherty Division standings with 40 points. They're followed by the Applejacks with 36 points and the Firebirds and Braves with 31 points each. The Merchants sit in fourth place with 29 points, the Shamrocks are in fifth place with 25 points, and the Titans are in sixth place with 19 points. The Dolphins sit at the bottom of the standings with 16 points.
Over in the Yeck Division, the Thamesford Trojans doubled the Port Stanley Sailors 6-3 on Friday, but they also fell to the Exeter Hawks 6-4 yesterday.
Thamesford is tied with Exeter for first place in the division standings with 33 points each. The Petrolia Flyers sit in second place with 31 points.
