PJHL - It was a weekend of wins for the Thamesford Trojans.
They beat the Port Stanley Sailors 7-3 on Friday and shutout the Lucan Irish 9-0 on Saturday.
The Trojans currently sit in third place in the Yeck Division standings with 22 points, behind the Petrolia Flyers with 28 points and the Exeter Hawks with 31 points.
Meanwhile it was a mixed weekend for the Oxford County teams in the Doherty Division.
The Tavistock Braves suffered a 4-3 loss to the Paris Titans on Friday but they demolished the Hespeler Shamrocks 11-1 yesterday. The Norwich Merchants doubled the Dorchester Dolphins 4-2 on Friday and the Woodstock Navy Vets fell to the New Hamburg Firebirds 5-2 yesterday.
The Firebirds sit in first place in the Doherty Division standings with 29 points, followed by the Merchants with 28 points, the Navy Vets with 25 points, and the Wellesley Applejacks with 24 points. The Dolphins are in fifth place with 16 points, the Braves sit in sixth place with 15 points, the Titans are in seventh place with 14 points, and the Shamrocks sit at the bottom of the standings with eight points.
