The Woodstock Navy Vets are still on top of the Doherty Division standings after celebrating two wins over the weekend.
PJHL - It was an intense weekend for the Woodstock Navy Vets
They beat the Norwich Merchants 3-2 on Friday, after Davin Gray scored his second goal of the night with just 20 seconds remaining in overtime.
The Vets also slipped past the Hespeler Shamrocks 5-4 yesterday. Cole Dann scored a powerplay goal with just eight seconds remaining in order to break the 4-4 tie and secure the win for Woodstock.
Meanwhile, the Merchants suffered a 5-3 loss to the Paris Titans on Saturday. The Tavistock Braves also beat the Shamrocks 3-1 on Friday and doubled the New Hamburg Firebirds 4-2 on Saturday.
The Navy Vets are leading the Doherty Division standings with 37 points. They're followed by the Firebirds with 31 points, the Braves with 23 points, the Shamrocks with 14 points, the Merchants also with 14 points, The Wellesley Applejacks with 12 points, and the Titans with 9 points.
In the Yeck Division, the Thamesford Trojans shutout the Lucan Irish 3-0 on Friday and celebrated a 4-2 win over the Mount Brydges Bulldogs yesterday. The Trojans are sitting in second place in the division standings with 32 points, behind the North Middlesex Stars with 36 points.
