The Woodstock Navy Vets and the Thamesford Trojans are both 9-0 after celebrating wins Friday night.
PJHL - The winning streak continues for the Woodstock Navy Vets and the Thamesford Trojans.
Both teams are now 9-0 to start the season after they both celebrated wins Friday night.
The Trojans shutout the Aylmer Spitfires 8-0 and the Vets crushed the Hespeler Shamrocks 7-4 at Southwood Arena. Ty Crombie and Chris Coulter scored two goals each for Woodstock with the rest scored by Nolan Brett, Ethan Szabo, and Brady Carne. Vets goalie Scott Rodrigue also finished the night with 21 saves.
In other PJHL action, the Norwich Merchants beat the Wellesley Applejacks 5-1 on Friday but fell to the Shamrocks 3-2 yesterday.
The Tavistock Braves doubled the New Hamburg Firebirds 4-2 on Friday. Their game against the Applejacks was tied at 1-1 on Saturday before the rest of the game was postponed due to ice issues.
The Woodstock Navy Vets are currently leading the Doherty Division standings with 18 points. The Tavistock Braves are currently tied in third place with the Hespeler Shamrocks and the Wellesley Applejacks with eight points, and the Norwich Merchants are in fourth place with five points.
The Thamesford Trojans sit on top of the Yeck Division standings, also with 18 points.
