The Woodstock Navy Vets suffered their first loss of the season Friday night, but they're sitting on top of the Doherty Division standings.
PJHL - The winning streak has come to an end for the Woodstock Navy Vets, but it still continues for the Thamesford Trojans.
The Vets suffered a 4-3 loss to the New Hamburg Firebirds on Friday but they were able to beat the Firebirds 2-1 in overtime on Saturday. Chris Coulter scored both of the goals for Woodstock on Saturday.
The Thamesford Trojans crushed the Mount Brydges Bulldogs with a final score of 4-1 on Friday.
In other PJHL action, the Tavistock Braves beat the Wellesley Applejacks 5-3 on Friday and demolished the Paris Titans 7-3 on Saturday.
The Norwich Merchants narrowly beat the Hespeler Shamrocks 6-5 on Friday and doubled the Applejacks 4-2 on Saturday.
The Woodstock Navy Vets are still sitting on top of the Doherty Division standings with 20 points. The Tavistock Braves are sitting in third place with 12 points and the Norwich Merchants are in fifth place with nine points.
Looking at the Yeck Division standings, the Thamesford Trojans are tied for first place with the North Middlesex Stars. Both teams have 20 points each.
