The Navy Vets suffered a 4-3 overtime loss to the Braves on Friday but bounced back with a 4-0 victory over the Merchants on Saturday.
PJHL - The Woodstock Navy Vets faced off against their Oxford County Doherty Division rivals over the weekend.
They suffered a 4-3 overtime loss to the Tavistock Braves on Friday. Nolan Brett scored two goals for Woodstock, including his 50th career goal. Michael Boyle-Ricupero scored the other goal for the Vets.
Woodstock also celebrated a 4-0 victory over the Norwich Merchants at Southwood Arena on Saturday. Scott Rodrigue finished the night with 30 saves for the Vets.
The Merchants also crushed the Paris Titans in Norwich on Friday with a final score of 4-1.
The Navy Vets are still leading the Doherty Division standings with 23 points. The Braves are in third place with 14 points and the Merchants are not too far behind them in fourth place with 11 points.
Looking at the Yeck Division, the Thamesford Trojans doubled the Exeter Hawks 6-3 on Friday. The Trojans will be back on the ice tomorrow night for a Halloween matchup against the Sailors in Port Stanley.
Thamesford is currently in second place in the Yeck Division standings with 22 points, behind the North Middlesex Stars with 24 points.
