Oxford OPP hand out stunt driving charge and catch 4 kids doing a B&E in Norwich.
Oxford OPP are worried people didn't get the message during Motorcycle awareness week. OPP were called to Plank line on Highway 401 on Friday morning after getting word of two bikes ripping across the highway. Police say the bikes were both travelling 170 km/hr in a posted 100 km/hr zone. The arresting officer was only able to catch the one bike as the other one got away. A 27 year old man from London was charged with race a motor vehicle under the highway traffic act and had will have their license suspended for 7 days and their vehicle impounded. Oxford OPP were upset they had to hand a ticket on a week designed to bring awareness and preach safety as we enter the motorcycling season.
Two teenagers were caught red handed after Oxford OPP were tipped off to a break and enter happening in Norwich. OPP were called to Elgin Street East on Friday night after getting word of four kids breaking into the vacant school in the area. Police were quick to respond and were able to catch the kids. A 15 and 16 year old were arrested at the scene and charged with break and enter to commit an indictable offence. The other two 11 year old youths were cautioned and released unconditionally to their parents.

Officers responded to and investigated approximately 114 calls over the weekend related to drugs, attempt break and enter, alarms, domestic disputes, liquor license act related, noise bylaw, 911 hang up, traffic complaints and theft calls.
