Police are asking the public to avoid the area surrounding the Via Rail in Woodstock this morning as they investigate the sudden death of an unidentified male.
UPDATE: Male Found deceased on tracks.
WOODSTOCK - Police are investigating the death of an unidentified male who was discovered on the CN Rail tracks near the VIA Rail station located at 100 Victoria Street South in Woodstock.
The 9-1-1 Communications Centre received a complaint around 6:00 a.m. that a male party was unresponsive.
Members of the Woodstock Police Service Uniform Patrol and Criminal Investigations Branch are currently at the scene.
This is an ongoing investigation and police asking the public to avoid the area as there will be a continued police presence in the area. The VIA rail trains will be delayed during this investigation.
