Oxford OPP will not be releasing the names of the deceased or the cause of death in their active death investigation near Thamesford
Oxford OPP have told Heart FM they will not be releasing the names of the deceased involved in a violent incident near Thamesford.
A post mortem was conducted yesterday on both bodies and police say due to the nature of the relationship of both deceased parties the cause of death and their identities will not be released. OPP also wanted to reiterate that there is no risk to public safety and they are not seeking anyone else in regards to this incident. Police were called to a home along HWY 119 between Ingersoll and Thamesford on Tuesday morning around 9 a.m. The home was adjacent to the Tulip Gardens Gardening Centre and belonged to a Dutch couple believed to be in their 90's.
When police arrived they found one person with obvious signs of trauma and they were declared deceased at the scene. Another person was rushed to the hospital and later died from their injuries. Police did say the investigation remains under the direction of OPP Criminal Investigation Branch by Detective Inspector Martin Graham. We will provide with more information if or when it does become available.
