You'll be able to find poppy boxes out in the community starting today.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Royal Canadian Legion's Poppy Campaign is here for 2023.
Starting today, you'll be able to find poppy boxes in Oxford County and across the rest of the country leading up to Remembrance Day on November 11th. They're available by donation and all of the proceeds will support veterans and their families. Some locations will also have a tap option available for people who might not have change or cash on them.
There will also be more biodegradable Poppies and wreaths available.
The Royal Canadian Legion is also bringing back Poppy Stories this year. Through this wonderful initiative, you can scan a lapel Poppy with a smartphone online here, and be taken to discover meaningful short stories about the everyday Canadians who dedicated their lives to serving our country.
The Legion’s 2023 National Poppy Campaign is launching on October 27! And volunteers across the country are ramping up their efforts.
