ERTH Corporation has donated over $20,000 to the United Way of Oxford.
WOODSTOCK - The ERTH Corporation annual Power of Golf Fore Charity brought in a whopping $20,000 for the United Way Oxford this year.
All of the money raised will go towards the numerous charities supported by United Way Oxford. Resource Development Coordinator Jennifer Belleth says it really was a great day at the Craigowan Golf Club in Woodstock.
"It was the last day of the summer, it was a beautiful day on the golf course, we had over 100 golfers present and everybody had a great time."
Belleth says raising $20,000 in one day is a remarkable accomplishment.
"This generosity from ERTH Corporation is inspiring. We are grateful for their support and understanding of how we can create a stronger community. Strong individuals support stable families which create connected communities. This remarkable announcement will help many in our community access the supports they need to reach their fullest potential."
Belleth was at one of the holes during the tournament with Campaign Cabinet Volunteer and Program Director Dan Henry. They got golfers to make puts using two putters and were answering questions about the United Way and the impact it has on our community. Henry says everyone was really interested in what we are trying to do at the United Way Oxford.
"golfers were so encouraging and willing to learn more about our community. It was a beautiful day that highlighted the importance of working together."
