Police say several Pride signs and flags were stolen and vandalized on Stover Street, Maple Dell Road, and Norwich Road.
UPDATE: The Township of Norwich has released the following statement regarding the recent cases of Pride sign and flag vandalism in the community:
"The Township of Norwich has been made aware of four reported incidents locally, involving theft and mischief of pride flags/displays from residents’ private properties. This and any type of thefts/vandalism/threats are most certainly strongly condemned by the Township of Norwich.
The Ontario Provincial Police are investigating these events, and will similarly investigate any further incidents. It is requested that anyone who witnesses or has information regarding such incidents please contact the O.P.P. at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477."
Norwich Township has been making headlines over the past few months after council passed a flag policy bylaw that only allows for government flags to be flown on municipal property.

NORWICH TOWNSHIP - The Oxford OPP is investigating several cases of Pride signs and flags being stolen or vandalized in Norwich Township.
Police say the incidents took place on Stover Street, Maple Dell Road, and Norwich Road sometime between last Friday June 9th, and Tuesday June 13th in the evening hours. Officers are currently looking over surveillance footage.
The Oxford OPP would like to remind everyone that any sort of theft or vandalism will not be tolerated and anyone who conducts these acts will face a criminal charge.
