The Oxford OPP has some tips for business owners with ATMs after responding to several break-ins recently where the culprits targeted banking machines.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Oxford OPP has responded to several break and enters into businesses with their own ATMs. Officers have also noticed an increase in the number of stolen vehicles being used for crimes.
Police would like to remind all vehicle owners out there to lock their doors and make sure their windows are rolled up whenever they're not nearby. You should also never leave your keys in your vehicle.
As for business owners with ATMs, police say they should have alarms and video surveillance in place and it's a good idea to have barriers in front of any glass doors and windows they have.
If you spot any vehicles or people who look suspicious, you should call the police.
